The painting draws inspiration from decaying structures and precious gems and minerals. The deteriorating nature of the structures contrasts the smooth uniform walls of the minerals.
Washes of ink were used for the shading on the stone and building surface followed by an outline of details using a micron pen.
Obsidian House was the original composition The series has since grownto a total of five unique mineral house compositions. All are available in the form of prints on my Society6. Some originals are still available, please inquire if interested.
